Future

We are working to make sure the Tecla Shield is compatible with as many devices as possible.
Our long-term goal is to help ensure that the Tecla Shield becomes a universal interface for people with mobility impairments that not only enables access to personal electronic devices, but also to public terminals such as automated teller machines (ATMs) and ticketing kiosks.

A simple and open application programming interface (API) is available to device manufacturers and software developers wishing to implement support for the Tecla Shield. Details on this API are available on the Tecla developer’s portal.

Contact us to learn more about how to implement support for the Tecla Shield in your device or application.
