Komodo is an independent research and development lab specializing in the creation of custom disruptive technologies for people with disabilities.

We are an OpenLab. This means we share our core technologies and designs so anyone can benefit from them.

People

Jorge Silva is a Disability Engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana, México and a PhD from the University of Toronto, Canada.
Jorge Torres is a Communications Engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and postgraduate studies at the University of Essex, UK and the University of Toronto, Canada.

Michael Dzura is our Mobility and Alternative Input expert. Michael is a quadriplegic user of an “Arrow Storm” power wheelchair controlled with a head interface. He operates his computer with a mouthstick that is molded to his teeth. Michael is also a Linux and Open Source enthusiast.
